Tasting Notes
A structured and refined expression of Montepulciano with a deep ruby colour and garnet reflections. The nose is complex and layered, offering aromas of ripe black cherry, plum and blackberry, followed by notes of violet, dried herbs, sweet spice and subtle hints of cocoa and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet elegant, with firm but polished tannins, balanced acidity and a long, persistent, savoury finish.
Food Pairing
A serious and food-focused red wine, ideal for richer dishes. Excellent with roasted and braised meats, lamb, game and slow-cooked stews. It also pairs beautifully with aged cheeses and traditional Italian cuisine such as pasta with rich ragù.
